Why it exists
It started in 2021, the year Fluffy arrived. The short version: I wanted to share how I do things with my own dog, and what I learned working it out.
Looking things up about her turned up the same problem again and again — pages written to rank rather than to answer, confident about things they had no basis for, and never willing to say “ask a vet”. This site is the attempt at the opposite.
What you can expect
- Health content is sourced. Claims link out to the AKC or the ASPCA, so you can check them yourself.
- Nothing here is veterinary advice. No page is a substitute for someone who can examine your dog.
- Corrections are dated and visible, at the foot of the article. When something was wrong, the page says what was wrong.
- Written for a worldwide audience. Measurements in metric and imperial, and no assumption you live where the writer does.
How it is funded
Dog Fluffy is independently owned and self-funded — no publisher, no network, no sponsor. It pays for itself through display advertising and Amazon affiliate links. Buying through a link may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and affiliate links are disclosed on every page carrying them.
