Every listing site has a "pet friendly" tick box. None of them tell you which breeds are banned, how heavy your dog can be, or what it costs. So we read the policies ourselves — 239 communities so far, 8 of them with no breed restrictions at all.

How we check
Every policy here was read from the property's own website or confirmed with its management, and every listing links to the page we read. Where a community does not publish something — and many do not publish their breed rules at all — we say so rather than guess. "Not published" never means "no restrictions".
Service animals and assistance animals are not pets under the Fair Housing Act. Breed and weight rules generally cannot be applied to them, and pet fees cannot be charged for them, whatever a community lists here. What that means →
