I live with Fluffy, a French Bulldog, and have done since 2021. Dog Fluffy started the same year, for the ordinary reason: I kept searching for answers about her and kept finding pages that were confident, vague, and wrong.
I am a dog owner, not a veterinarian. I have no veterinary training and I do not give veterinary advice. What I do is read the sources properly, say plainly what they support, and tell you when something needs a vet rather than a website.
How I research a health claim
What I write about health starts at the American Kennel Club and the ASPCA, and I link to them so you can read the same page I did.
When sources disagree, I say so rather than picking whichever is more convenient. And when a question genuinely needs examining an individual dog — which is most urgent ones — the honest answer is your vet, not me.
When I get something wrong
I fix it, and I say so. Corrections go in a dated note at the bottom of the article, and the original error is described rather than quietly deleted.
There is a live example. The avocado article once said the toxin caused fluid in the chest, and then gave instructions for feeding it. Both were wrong. It now leads with the actual risk — the stone — and carries a dated correction explaining what changed.
How the site earns
Dog Fluffy is independently owned and self-funded — no publisher, no network, no sponsor. It pays for itself through display advertising and Amazon affiliate links. If you buy something through a link here, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and affiliate links are disclosed on every page that carries them.
